The fact that this type of application is finally finding space in countries like Germany, where the PV had the most widespread in Europe, gives positive signals for our country.
In this new opportunity are inserted our new fuses for batteries protection, specially designed and manufactured to ensure maximum safety when using batteries, especially those in photovoltaic systems and those of UPS. The time-current characteristic of these fuses is extrafast type, they can operate in direct current, from voltages 24V DC to a maximum voltage of 800V DC (time constant: max 10 ms). In particular, our proposal consists of a series of cylindrical fuses 10×38 mm, with rated currents from 2A to 25A and rated voltage up to 800V DC, and in a series of blade NH fuses with rated currents from 40A to 630A, and voltage up to 800V DC. The blade type NH fuses, in all versions, are also available in with a striker and therefore, used with suitable bases, equipped with microswitch, provides a remote indication of the intervention of the fuse. For all of our fuses for batteries the breaking capacity is 30 kA. Naturally, all the fuses are accompanied by the respective fuse bases, both the classical type “open” and, in some cases, the type disconnect under load ones.
